New Year, New Recruit

The Academy is delighted to announce that Debbi McCulloch will take up the post of Football Development Officer with the SCFA on 5th January 2009. Currently Debbi is a successful Community Coach with Ross County FC, where she has worked for the past 5 years.
A qualified Level 4 Youth Award + Working with Children Licence Holder, Debbi’s impressive CV includes coaching stints in the USA, also at Dundee United FC.
We look forward to Debbi playing a key role in future developments at the Academy.

Academy update – 'The Final Countdown'

The new completion date for the Academy is Friday 5th December. Once again the wet weather has made life difficult on site, however, the finishing line is within sight. A special word of thanks to everyone who has a winter let booking with us for your continued patience.

Norwich Union Community Sports Fund ‘Silver’ Award

On Saturday 25th October, the Spartans Community Football Academy received a cheque for £12,500 at the BAWA awards dinner, held in London.
This was in recognition of the Academy winning the Scottish region vote for the Norwich Union Community Sports Fund Awards 2008. The Gold Award, worth £50,000, was won by Special Olympics City of York.
