Undergraduate and post graduate students studying Sports Development and Politics of Sports Policy respectively at The University of Edinburgh took the chance to hear all about the Academy project today by attending a lecture delivered by Academy Manager Douglas Samuel.

Inspired Scotland Showcase Event @ SCFA

On Tuesday the Academy was delighted to host the ‘Inspired Scotland Showcase’ event. Various projects from all over the country took part in this launch event, attended by Shona Robison MSP – Minister for Commonwealth Games and Sport - Jonathan Edwards CBE and Sir Craig Reedie OBE – IOC Committee Member.  The Academy ‘Creating Future Champions’ project is one of 94 projects throughout Scotland to be awarded the ‘Inspire Mark’.

Bend it Like Beesley – February Holiday Programme

Our ‘Bend it Like Beesley’ holiday programme returns on Monday 13th February. Places are available on each of our courses for children aged 3-4 years (Little Dribblers), 5-8 years (Junior Soccer School) and 9-14 years old (Senior Soccer School).  The cost of the week is £26 for Little Dribblers and £37.50 for both our Junior and Senior Soccer Schools. Please contact the Academy on 0131-552-7854 or e-mail LynseyCowan@spartanscfa.com to sign your child up for our signature coaching programme.

Preparing to face the Saints

In preparation for their Scottish Cup tie vs. St Johnstone, Heart of Midlothian FC trained at the Academy on Friday.  In addition, Paulo Sergio and his players were put through their paces ‘off the park’ at the press conference, which also took place at the Academy.
