Ella

Ella is one of our youngest participants (6yrs old) and we were keen to find out what she thought about Little Miss Kickers.

"I was nervous at first but then I made new friends and I really enjoyed it. Dribbling and scoring goals is the most challenging thing but I am proud of how many goals that I score on Fridays and about the number of friends that I have made. My favourite thing is playing games at the end and playing Queen of the Net. 

I have made lots of new friends and it is so much fun. I think other girls would love it too."

We also asked Ella's mum Louise about her experiences at The Academy.

 "I knew about the programme from my time as a player at the club. I wanted Ella to try football and I knew she would get a positive and well organised experience at The Academy. She has been at The Academy for almost 2 years now and loves it. She  particularly loves the fact it is an all girls group and feels more confident playing alongside the other girls. I was keen to get her into a girls only session for this reason and I am delighted with how she has progressed both practically but more importantly with her self-confidence. Ella loves coming to the academy every Friday.  She settled in really quickly and loves the fun, and supportive environment. The coaches that have worked with Ella’s group have all been fantastic and the sessions are pitched at the correct level. Ella now enjoys playing football and has improved. She also has a greater understanding of the game.  More importantly, she has met a completely new group of girls of mixed ages and has grown in confidence to play alongside and socialise with them. We will continue to attend Little Miss Kickers for as long as Ella is able to."
