The Spartans Community Football Academy organises residential breaks to give young people who would not otherwise have the chance, to enjoy a holiday away from home.
"I started coming to The Spartans Community Football Academy when I was 10. I was in Primary 6. Now I’m 15, and I’m still coming along. I found out about The Academy from my friends. They started going a couple of weeks before me, and they said 'you should come, you would enjoy it', and I did. I knew it was something to do with football and that made me want to try it out."
"My best memory is going to Hopscotch as a young person and as a volunteer. It's such a good experience – you get to visit a new place in Scotland and have a holiday which I have never been able to do before. I enjoyed it so much. The night walks are the best. You get to have a laugh with the workers and other young people. I would recommend The Academy to young people, it's such an amazing thing to be a part of, and they will enjoy it!!”
"Georgia is a great role model for younger girls and her peers. She is an asset to The Academy and her community; I am very proud of her, and I am excited to see the important role she plays in the future."
