Spartans Connections is the para football section of The Spartans Football Club and is delivered in close partnership with the Spartans Community Foundation. We welcome players who have a wide range of disabilities including physical and learning disabilities, mental health challenges and beyond.
Connections provides skill and fitness-focused football training sessions in a fun, social atmosphere. We welcome players aged 16+. We have 6 teams that compete in the Scottish Football Association Pan Para-Football Leagues and national competitions. Not all our players come along for the competitive side, we have players who simply enjoy the fitness and social side of training. Our teams are mixed gender and we are actively looking to recruit more women to join us.
We are currently running two sessions every Thursday. Session one is from 10.30am-12pm and Session two is from 4.30pm - 6pm.

Subs are £15 per month for League Players & £8 for Social Player, preferably to be paid into the club bank account, details on request. Cash can be collected on the first Thursday of the month. We have supported places for those who may find cost a barrier.
If you are looking for wheelchair or powerchair football, please contact The Scottish Powerchair Football Association to find out what's available in Edinburgh.
Walking Football
Come and enjoy walking football with us every Monday from 12-1pm. All you need is a pair of moulded studs or blades and if you don't have any, we have some that you can borrow. Walking football is open to all adults and is a great low impact way to keep fit and meet new people.
Changing Room 1 is open from 11.30am and we start at 12pm for 4 x 15min games. The game is explained at beginning of every session.
After we finish up on the pitch we go up to the café for a hot drink, a biscuit a post-match chat.
The session is free of charge. We also collect small donations for kit, equipment and going to competitions.
