The Spartans Community Football Foundation delivers a range of community football coaching programmes for boys and girls aged between 3 and 11 years. Our focus is on the development of football skills in a safe, friendly environment. Our staff are all Scottish Football Association qualified and are experienced junior coaches. When you purchase coaching from us you are supporting our social enterprise to deliver education, health and wellbeing and youth work programmes in our local community where there are areas of some of the highest social deprivation in Scotland.
SatSun Soccer is our signature programme. It runs during term time and is suitable for children aged between 3 and 11 years. Sessions run on either Saturday or Sunday mornings and are split by age into:
Little Dribblers is an introductory, developmental soccer school for children aged 3 to 4 years. This class develops movement and social skills through fun, football-related games.
Junior Soccer School is for players aged 5 to 6 years. This class develops football skills through fun but structured coaching and small-sided games.

Senior Soccer School is for players aged 7 to 8 years and 9 to 11 years. The focus is on developing technical skills in control, passing, dribbling and scoring.
Little Miss Kickers is our girls-only programme for players aged between 5 and 8 years. Our focus is on providing a fun introduction to football where players can develop new skills and make new friends. Sessions are delivered on Fridays during school term.
Building on the success of Little Miss Kickers we introduced a coaching provision for girls aged 9-11 years. Sessions run on Friday afternoons from 2-3pm during term times.
For kids aged 5-8 years. Runs during school term time.
Midweek Messis takes place on a Wednesday afternoon from 4.30pm to 5.30pm. As with our Saturday/Sunday programme, players are split into Junior Soccer School (ages 5-6 years) and Senior Soccer School (ages 7-8 and 9-11 years).
Friday Football programme for children aged 5-7 years during term times.
Holiday Hat-tricks is our fun-packed holiday programme that runs during October, February, Easter and Summer breaks and provides a whole week of football, fun, skills and socialising for participants. Our holiday programmes cater for children aged from 5 to 11 years.
This 4-week programme that we deliver in Nursery Schools for children aged 2 years+. The programme encourages development of physical literacy and social skills through fun football-themed activities. The final week includes a 'graduation' ceremony where each child is presented with a certificate. Spartans Community Foundation Coaching - FAQs
Q. How does my child get into one of the Spartans Football Youth teams?
A. SCFA community coaching programmes are the formal pathway into Spartans youth football section. When spaces become available in the youth teams (12 years and under), children taking part in our community football programmes who meet the selection criteria will be signposted to the appropriate youth section team. Q. How are your coaching groups selected?
A. Coaching groups are selected based on children’s dates of birth. Players who book in after a block has started will be allocated to the closest available coaching group based on their date of birth.
Q. Can my child change coaching groups?
A. Requests for changes of group can only be made before the block starts.
Q. When do the blocks run?
A. Blocks typically follow the school term dates. Detailed information can be found at here or on your booking confirmation email.
Q. How do I book in for the next block?
A. If you are an existing customer your child’s space is automatically reserved for the next block unless you opt out. You have to confirm your child’s attendance and pay for the block by the payment deadline date that is sent to you by email. If you do not confirm and make payment by that date then your child’s space is offered to customers on our waiting list. If you are not an existing customer you can book onto our blocks here. If the block you want to attend is full, you can register with us and join the waiting list. Should a space become available you will receive an email from us.
Q. Can I still pay in cash or by cheque?
A. If you are unable to pay online you can still register your child through the online system and pay by cash or cheque. These payments should be handed into The Foundation Office in an envelope marked for the attention of the Football Development Manager.
Q. I know someone who does not have access to the internet, how do they book on to your programmes?
A. We can book players on to our programmes manually. Customers can fill out a booking form and make payments at The Foundation office.
